Improved Exchange Service for iSLE and RapidSite
Tokyo – September 4, 2007 – The two major GMO Hosting & Security hosting brands, iSLE and RapidSite have announced that beginning today all Exchange Service features will be accessible to each client using the Exchange Server service simply by adjusting the forward settings on an existing mail server.
To celebrate this we are announcing at the same time the Smart Phone Double Campaign made possible through the support of WILLCOM, Inc. GMO Hosting & Security Inc. is a GMO Internet Group company.
Compatibility
Exchange Service is an ASP Service that makes available e-mail based schedule management and information sharing features not only from computers but also from Windows compatible mobile devices (cell phones/ PDA etc.) that have fast becoming popular on the business scene.
Until now it has been necessary to acquire a special e-mail address in order to use the Exchange Service. We have received many requests from customers that already have e-mail addresses on their hosting service or their companies own servers and want to be able to use Exchange Service with their existing e-mail addresses.
In response to this demand GMO-HS has made it possible for each client to access all Exchange Service features by setting mail forwarding to an existing e-mail address.
As a result, without having to move all e-mail addresses, mail can be sent by an individual e-mail address from a mobile device and all Exchange Service functions are available, the Outlook partnership highly functional web mail (Outlook Web Access) with goupware functions.
Feature 1 – Simply set the forward setting on your existing e-mail server to use
Customers that already have a hosting service or their own company servers can still take advantage of the Exchange Service simply by setting automatic forwarding on their existing mail server.
*Use on company servers with POP e-mail will be possible by the end of the year
Feature 2 – Automatically change the From address on sent mail to switch to business use
Exchange Service can be used for business because it offers automatic switching from the sender mail address to an existing mail address.
Feature 3 – Apply for additional individual e-mail addresses
Implementation of Exchange Service is flexible, available for an individual or whole department.

Comment by Yasushi Ota, Vice President, Consumer Sales, Willcom Inc.
We have had very good feedback from many of our customers on the W-ZERO 3 since it was first launched on December 2005. Many of our customers are already using smart phones and we recognize that a partnership with Exchange will enhance smart phone sales.
I believe that as a result of our partnership with the GMO Hosting & Security Exchange Service use of smart phones on the business scene will continue to rapidly increase.
