GlobalSign Singapore and KDDI Singapore Form Digital Authentication Sales Partnership in Asia Pacific Region

Tokyo – June 6, 2011 – GMO GlobalSign Pte. Ltd, a GMO CLOUD subsidiary and the Singapore arm of digital certificate security specialist GlobalSign, has sealed a sales partnership agreement with KDDI Singapore Pte. Ltd. under which KDDI Singapore today begins distributing GlobalSign digital certificate products.
 
GlobalSign Singapore, established in February 2010, sells a broad lineup of Internet security products and is currently focused on strengthening its sales network in the Asia Pacific region.
KDDI Singapore is the headquarters of KDDI Corporation’s South East Asian operations. As a provider of communications systems services, KDDI  Singapore will offer SSL security as a value add to its existing range of enterprise solutions
KDDI has chosen to partner with GlobalSign for SSL certificate provisioning and the two companies have signed a sales partnership agreement.  
 
Under the agreement GlobalSign Singapore will supply digital certificate products including SSL certificates and client certificates*1 for access control and digital signing to KDDI Singapore and group companies in eight locations servicing ten countries.* Moving forward, GlobalSign Singapore will help to expand the sales channel s of communications and cloud services provider KDDI Singapore and its group companies.
At the same time, KDDI Singapore will move to implement GlobalSign SSL across all websites operated by the company group. 

 

*1. Client certificates:Online “identification” for access authentication, digital signing (S/MIME), and encryption. Stored on a PC or other device (USB token, IC card etc. etc.)  client certificates can be used to identify individuals or organizations online and are mainly employed in access control and mail identification and encryption.
 
*2. Offices in India, Indonesia, Australia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia. (Sales network also covers U.A.E. and Bangladesh.)
