Tokyo – December 4, 2007 – GMO Hosting & Security announces that the Movable Type Contest 2007 sponsored by hosting brand RapidSite, opens today. Through this contest GMO Hosting & Security brand RapidSite, aims to highlight the communication possibilities and showcase the effectiveness of Movable Type* as well as promote the use of blogging and CMS in business and other environments. GMO Hosting & Security, former winner of the Movable Type BEST Hosting Partner, is a GMO Internet Group Company.

The contest will be judged by master bloggers who will evaluate sites created in Movable Type on performance, operability, design, originality and content. All entries will appear on the official contest site and a winner and runner-up will be selected.
In 2005, the first time the contest was held, we received 315 entries, and last year 470 people submitted entries. We hope to attract many visitors to the site to view a wide range of blogging styles as well as to increase recognition of the entry sites.
RapidSite believes that blogs will play an important role in the future of business as they are an easy and expressive way to communicate with an audience. It aims to build Movable Type brand recognition while promoting blogging. Movable Type Contest 2007 is an opportunity to showcase the excellence of Movable Type as a business tool. We believe it will contribute to the growth of business blogging and the use of CMS.

Eligibility	Business / personal Movable Type created sites that will be widely viewed between the time of application and the time results are announced. (non RapidSite members are also eligible to apply)
How to Enter	Please register using the submission form on the official site (online applications only).
Prizes	Grand Prize (1 site), Runner up (1 site) Business Division – Outstanding Performance Prize (1 site), Business Division – Outstanding Performance Prize – Runner up (1 site), Individual Division – Outstanding Performance Prize (1 site), Individual Division – Outstanding Performance Prize – Runner up (1 site) Judges Award (undecided)
